The Position
NorthMark is seeking a Technical Chief of Staff with 10–15 years of experience to provide high-level technical and project coordination support across multidisciplinary teams. This role requires strong technical acumen, advanced organizational skills, and the ability to work independently on highly visible projects. You’ll serve as a liaison between engineering, project management, and cross-functional departments, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of project objectives.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support in the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects.
Assist engineers and project managers with the preparation, review, and maintenance of technical documents.
Coordinate logistics for meetings, testing, and program reviews, including managing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
Support system testing, validation, and quality processes by maintaining accurate records, logs, and reporting formats.
Support the configuration management process by organizing and updating design documents and version control systems.
Collect and compile data for reports, metrics, and presentations related to project milestones, risks, and quality assurance.
Analyze project workflows and recommend improvements to increase team productivity and document traceability.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), milestone progress, and earned value metrics.
Utilize project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or equivalent to track tasks, dependencies, and resource allocation.
Collaborate closely with procurement and supply chain to ensure timely delivery.
Interface with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to track deliverables and ensure timely communication.
Manage the organization and archiving of digital files and technical reports in a secure location.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and proposing optimized workflows for document handling, testing, or team collaboration.
Support audits, design reviews, and risk management activities by ensuring technical documentation is up to date and accurately archived.
Assist Finance with development of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Three Year Plan.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Program Management, or a related technical field; equivalent experience considered.
10–15 years of experience in a technical or engineering support role.
Prior experience in Artificial Intelligence Agent implementation, data center operations, supporting system design reviews, test readiness reviews, or major program milestones.
Familiarity with engineering drawings and CAD tools.
Strong command of document control and configuration management best practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and enterprise systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of interfacing with engineers, executives, and external partners.
Familiarity with Agile or hybrid development methodologies is a plus.
Experience with Lean Six Sigma or process optimization tools is a plus.
