The Position

The Facility Support Manager is responsible for operational execution governance, workforce leadership, and maintenance planning integration for the MOC-1 High-Performance Compute Center (HPCC). Reporting to the Director of MOC-1 Operations, this role leads 24x7 Shift Operations and Maintenance Planning functions, ensuring disciplined execution, structured workflows, and coordinated site performance across all technical disciplines.

Operating as a peer to the Electrical, Mechanical, Power Generation, and Controls Operations Managers, this role ensures alignment between engineering-defined technical standards and day-to-day operational execution. The Facility Support Manager drives uptime protection through structured governance, workforce readiness, risk coordination, and performance accountability.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop Shift Operations Leads and Maintenance Planners to ensure consistent, disciplined execution across all shifts.
  • Oversee 24x7 operational performance, including OCC execution, service coordination, and site-level readiness.
  • Integrate maintenance planning workflows with technical priorities defined by Electrical, Mechanical, Power Generation, and Controls leadership.
  • Ensure maintenance scheduling, work authorization, and CMMS processes align with uptime and risk management objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-disciplinary activities to prevent work conflicts, minimize operational risk, and protect live mission-critical systems.
  • Establish and maintain structured operational governance frameworks, reporting cadences, and performance standards.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs related to uptime, maintenance compliance, alarm response, safety performance, and execution discipline.
  • Ensure effective incident documentation, escalation, and follow-through in partnership with technical domain leaders.
  • Provide senior-level operational coordination during significant site events, ensuring clear roles, communication, and command structure.
  • Oversee third-party service providers supporting operations, logistics, and site services to ensure procedural compliance and SLA adherence.
  • Drive workforce planning, training validation, qualification tracking, and shift readiness programs.
  • Enforce adherence to SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, permits, CMMS workflows, and formal change management processes.
  • Ensure EH&S compliance, LOTO coordination, and safe execution practices across all operational functions.
  • Support budget oversight for operational services, contractor support, and workforce planning.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, cross-team collaboration, and safety-first operational discipline.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in mission-critical facility operations, data centers, utilities, power generation, or similar high-reliability environments.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience overseeing 24x7 operations teams.
  • Demonstrated experience managing maintenance planning functions and CMMS-driven workflow governance.
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, controls, and power infrastructure systems in mission-critical environments.
  • Experience implementing operational governance structures, KPI frameworks, and structured incident management processes.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure environments.
  • Strong communication and leadership presence, with ability to operate effectively alongside technical domain managers.
